Susanna Reid took her Good Morning Britain co-host Ed Balls aback when she revealed the preparations that she’s made in the event of her death.
On Wednesday morning’s episode of the ITV flagship programme, Lorraine Kelly briefly appeared in the studio to discuss what she would be talking about on her own show from 9am.
The presenter explained that they would be touching upon a ‘giant conversation’ about ‘what happens to you once you’re away, once you’ve died’.
‘You have to get a folder…’ the 65-year-old began, before Susanna, 54, interjected to share that she’s already made plans herself just in case they’re needed.
‘I have a book,’ she stated, to which Lorraine replied: ‘I knew you would have a book.’
Susanna explained that the book ‘says where everything is’, but it doesn’t include her passwords, as that’s ‘separate’.

‘But everybody knows, and everybody knows what you want,’ Lorraine added.
However, Ed, 58, appeared surprised by the idea of having anything set up in case he dies, as he revealed to his colleagues: ‘Nobody told me about this.’
Susanna also urged people watching at home to ‘please do a will as well’.
‘Even if you think you’ve not got that much to leave,’ Lorraine chimed in. ‘Make sure everybody knows what you want.
‘That’s what we’re going to be talking about. Difficult thing to talk about. You have the conversation then it’s done.’

Citizens Advice strongly advises that everyone should make a will ‘whether or not you consider you have many possessions or much money’, for several reasons.
One of the reasons highlighted by the organisation states: ‘If you die without a will, there are certain rules which dictate how the money, property or possessions should be allocated. This may not be the way that you would have wished your money and possessions to be distributed.’
Recently, Davina McCall revealed the preparations that she made after she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour, and required surgery to have it removed.
Speaking to Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett on her podcast Begin Again, the 57-year-old sad: ‘I did go and address my will and make sure that was airtight. I talked to Michael about my wishes. I wrote letters of wishes to all the children and put those in my will.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
